Legacy Society

The 1887 Heritage Society

Since John Brewster’s founding gift in 1887, generous donors have been investing in Brewster Academy with legacy gifts to Brewster. Through their giving, donors are helping to preserve the Brewster experience for future generations of students.

The 1887 Heritage Society recognizes individuals who have provided for the Academy in their estate plans or by establishing a life income gift such as a charitable remainder trust. Membership in the Society is open to any and all individuals who notify the Alumni and Development Office of their intentions.

Estate gifts are a wonderful way to leave an enduring legacy at Brewster and make a difference for students in perpetuity. Life income gifts are a win-win for the Academy and the donor, providing a gift to Brewster while providing an income stream to the donor for life.

To learn more about the benefits of life income gifts and how you can become a member of the 1887 Heritage Society, contact John Northrop.

If you are considering making a planned gift, please contact us if we can be of assistance or visit the Tools & Resources page. You might also be interested in reading about how other supporters made planned gifts that provided benefits for us and for them.
